What is meant by "test control motor" is your listening to the sound the control motor makes & the length of time it takes to complete the steps ...They should be quick ,sharp shifts..

When you initialize it with the shift (up/down) buttons ,and move the throttle from idle position to full throttle position you should hear the control motor going thru the 3 shifts ..
