Replacing stock springs with HL springs

On the rear shock/springs at the top is there a bolt that goes all the way thru the frame or is it a stud that's a part of the frame? I can't see anything like a bolt back there and can't see how you would get anything back there to get ahold of one.

On mine it was a stud as part of the frame. Quite possible that yours is the same.

it bolts to the frame, no nut on the otherside
