Removable Snorkle for Stock Exhaust

4281 Views 14 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  AkStickkiller
I used a 1" galv union and 2 1" pipe nipples to make snorkle for my stock exhaust. It can be installed or removed in less than a minute. I'll probably need to fab some sort of support bracket once I get it installed.

looks good
thats cool great idea
Got it installed on the bike. Used plug in another union to make a cap to keep water out when I pressure wash the bike.
what did you use to paint it?
Tremclad High Heat spray can.
dont forget the plug is on and try to start it, that wouldnt be good
I could attach one of those CAUTION.... REMOVE BEFORE FIRING UP ENGINES streamers like they use on fighter jets.
Can you tell any change in power with it on?
No decrease in power if that's what you mean. Wasn't expecting any change in power.
**** I wish I could build something like that!! LOOKS GOOD!!
Smart Idea

I think I will try that out.Doesnt it wobble around when riding??

I have a support bracket that attaches to the carrier for the rear box. Doesn't move at all.

You can or take the parts to a welder thats a 10 min job if you have the muffler off and preped.
I also think if you extend it out a few more inches then bow it back alittle more you could support it right off the rear rack.
Very nice work!
