relocating vent lines

I know this has probably been hashed out a gazillion times before but when relocating the vent lines for everything, are the hoses long enough already to move up toward the headlight pod or will they need to be extended?
Was thinking about going ahead and doing this now while my quad is still clean and shiny from the dealer before I go to WV this weekend and get it all dirty.

no, they are not long enough you will have to extend them. I used sprinker system tubing and the connectors, got the stuff from Lowes.
I think the tubing was $5 for 25 or 50 ft (either way it is a plenty)and connectors were $2.
Like he said just buy 50 feet and run all new lines. i got mine at Lowes too (check my avatar), I think it was $0.17 per foot. Its easier to run all new lines than to truely re-route. I just zip tied to my other lines and plugged the old ones with golf tees because I could not fine a plug. You need 3/16 for, the two off the carb, and two from the the back, (rear diff and brake), and one for the front diff. Then the vent line running to the fan is 3/8...
Thanks for the replies. I guess tonight it's a trip to Lowes after dinner!
Did you all just route them up to the pod? Afterwards, did you angle them back down not to get anything in them? Trying to figure out the best location. It's nice working on a clean, unmolested quad, but not for long.
what size is the crank case
I wrapped mine in black and actually ran them up to the pod and up the handlebars...
MY 06' FOREMAN'S HOSES WERE ALREADY ROUTED TO THE POD. I REROUTED THEM TO MY SNORKEL AND SEALD UP MY PULL START, ALSO ADDED HOSE TO THE CARB VENTS AND SENT THEM TO THE SNORKEL ALSO. I GUESS I NEED TO REROUTE THE CRANKCASE VENT AROUND THE CARB JUST HAVEN'T DONE IT YET.
I don't think you are supposed to tie your carb vents into your snorkel.
arn't htey for vacume right? well that snorkel is creating a vacume by air getting sucked into the eng. so the carb woudlnt be gettin its proper vacume, air is probaly getting sucked out of the carb lines instead of goign into them. what little air it is. my .02

Tied all vents except carb to crank case vent and ran to GPS mount on handlebars. Ran a seperate line for the carb vent. Only thing left is the pull start.

I think mine are too, they all go up somewhere anyway.
The vent lines are run into the frame below the pod, they are about the same hight as the stock intake maybe a little lower.
geez man, how did you remember where everything went?
My foreman would never be the same again if I took it all apart like that!!! I always have a problem with spare parts when I get done!!!
I bet it's easy to work on.
i have never seen a 500 with absolutly no plastics on it, looks weird
are the vent lines on the honda 450 the same size?
