I went to a honda dealership and bought a 170 honda jet. I brought it to someone to install it for me and he said the jet was to big and he would have to drill. Is that what you have to do to put it in? Do you have to drill?

Put a 170 in mine last week. No drilling whatsoever.
I may be wrong but I have NEVER heard of someone having to drill a jet to put it in. I have heard people drilling out smaller # jets to make them bigger so they wouldnt have to buy a new one (cheap arse's)

I just had mine done yesterday...DJ 170. Took the guy about 45 minutes after removing the plastic, flipping the carb, and putting everything back together. No drilling required. To be honest...I would get another opinion or find another mechanic. Just my 2 cents.
NO DRILLING INVOLVED...AND IF HE SAIS JET WAS TOO BIG WHY DRILL IT??? THAT WOULD MAKE IT LAREGER.
I misunderstood what the man said. He wasnt drilling my carb., he just drilled out my stock jet to a 170.
That makes more sense.
Although some times its just easier to spend the couple bucks, instead of customizing stuff.
