i have mine mounted right under the rack. i screwed mine up to a 2X4 that i keep on the rack that helps balance my cooler out. then just ran some wires to a switch i put on the side next to the ignition and wired it straight into the battery. i have it dead centered on my rack and its pretty much flush with the end of it. I will past some pics when i get home. I tested the battery out to see how long the light would just stay on with it tied directly into the battery. It came 2 to a set so i put the other one on the front of my golf cart and took my old rubicon battery (8 years old) and slapped it on there, gave it a good charge, and after about 12 hours, the lights were still bright... so i just wired them directly to the battery on the rubi so that i can switch them on when ever i want....

i will post up some pics when i get home.

Here are some pics. Worked out pretty good. I screwed the light right into the 2x6 on the back rack. Now it stays put when the cooler is sitting on it. It puts out a good bit of light and I can turn it on and off when I want with ease.
