Losen the rear brake adjuster. Remove the rear right wheel, axle nut, hub and there are like 6-8, (dont remember) 8mm bolts on the drum cover. take those out and there are two slots between the brake cover and backing plate. Using a screwdriver insert and twist. The cover should pop off if its not full of water and rust. after the cover is off, slid the drum off the axle and you are looking at the brake pads.

no what I listed above will leave the backing plate on the bike. But if you want to take it off, just look behind the backing plate there are 4 14mm nuts, brake adjuster's and vent line. once these are removed the blacking plate with come off completely.
