The rear brake pedal on my Foreman is sticking. If I push it down, it stays stuck down. I can pull it back up with my hand & it will release the rear brake & stay up. Has this happened to anyone else on here? It still stops just fine. Is it rusted up where the break pedal pivots? Any Ideas?

My foot brake on my 2002 Foreman has been stuck for as long as I can remember.

I just loosened the wing-nut on the drum so it wouldn't effect my braking and left it stuck in the down position. I really like it out of my way a lot better.

I just use the hand brake levers.

I have read in some other forms that this is a common problem. Just spray it at the piviot with some WD40 and work it up and down to free it up, then put some heavier lube on it to seal it up.

The best fix I know of is to pull the pedal off drill a hole and install a zirk (grease) fitting. This will correct it longer than WD-40 alone. Even if you don't have the proper size drill and tap, you can buy everythind for less than $10. Pretty cheap, and it will cure your headache.
