DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE EASIEST WAY TO GET A OLD STUBBORING REAR BEARING OUT OF THE REAR HOUSING? THE OUTER RACE WONT COME OUT AND I NEED TO REPLACE THEM ALONG WITH THE SEALS. ARE THERE THREE OR JUST TWO BEARINGS AND WHICH ONES ARE BEST? HELP!!!!!!

there are only two bearings in the axle tubes and 4 inside the diff. Remove the tire and hub. On the left side a slide hammer with a hook on the end will help get the old bearing out. Or u can unbolt the bottom shock mount and the 4 nuts on the diff to remove the axle tube. This way u can drive the old bearing out from the inside. Now on the right side the brake assem. will need to be removed to get the old bearing out of the brake backing plate. This bearing very seldom go's out. but the seal on the brake cover need to be greased and inspected often to keep water out.
Thanks Terry for the information. He tried to mess with it a little last night,
but didn't have much luck. Sure wish you lived on our street. Between Kurt, Mark,
& especially me, we would keep you quite busy . Thanks once again.
thanx for the tip
