Rancher AT oil temp light doesn't come on when key turned on

I was reading my owners manual for my 2004 Rancher AT and it says the oil temp light should come on a few seconds when the key is turned on. Mine does not. Is this a major problem or just a burned out bulb? Are the bulbs easy to replace? Where is the controll box for this function located?

Ours is an 07 model but it does turn on when the key is 1st turned. Just some input is all.
