I have a rancher 350 4wd and I am having problems with the steering, if you are rideing along at 5-10 mph or more and turn the steering just a little bit it wants to take off in that direction so quick that if your not careful it will wreck you, and if you are going very fast it will wreck you. It acts like the toe is way off but it is not.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hey Caanan, did you put larger tires on your Rancher? If so this could cause the excessive gripping issue.

Hey Caanan,
Go ahead and adjust the tie rods to give it a lot of toe out then see if that works better. We had to adjust mine after we rode Friday. I put the new tie rod ends on and had the tires perfectly straight so the steering was very touchy all day friday and on several occasions almost took the handle bars out of my hands. We put some toe out back in it, maybe 1/8 to 1/4" per side and it made a world of difference.

I believe I found the problem.....one of the lower ball joints was seized up and the uppers are worn out.

Im having the same issue. Was it the ball joints? Did you get the problem fixed?
