I always manage to have a good time, no matter if it's dry or not, but I sure am hoping for a lot of rain before then so they will have some more play areas!

I only live about 30 min. from there so I usually go home and I don't even wanna THINK about riding the next day! Even if the bike survives the ride, I won't be in any shape to do anything but pile up on the couch! I think it was 4:30 a.m. when I got to bed after the Rabbit Run.

Where and what is it?
You can go to this thread from the Pumpkin Run last year:

<a href="http://hondaforeman.com/phpBB2/viewtopi" target="_blank">http://hondaforeman.com/phpBB2/viewtopi ... umpkin+run</a>

But, it's a party / play area during the day around the parking lot starting early morning, then around 7:30 p.m. they start the run, which is a 15-20 mile ride thru the woods at night. When it's been raining a lot -- like last year after a couple hurricanes, it's a pretty rough course, when it's been dry like at the "Rabbit Run" (they have a Pumpkin Run in October and a Rabbit Run in March) it was an easy course. You can camp out there too. We love it!

I'm READY! I hope they REALLY DO have a bunch of water. If they do, then they've been getting a LOT more than us, because it's pretty dry here and we are only about 40 minutes away!!!

Ray --- a spectator??? Does that just mean during the day, so you can make the ride at night??? The trail shouldn't be too bad. I know it was easy for the Rabbit Run and we haven't gotten a whole lot of rain since then. I just hope the parking areas aren't real dusty and the drag racers stay down wind from the play area!

You will still have fun just hanging out during the day. I'm sure you will figure out your vacation within the next couple weeks. Are you still thinking about North Carolina??? That's nice this time of year!

Does anyone have a helmet that paul can borrow? Just for the run. And do you need to wear helmet just to play during the day?
You only need the helmet on for the night run.

Beerwurst and jello shots sounds like the right mixture for the trots! Do they have potties at the ride?
Porto-potties around the parking areas.... "on your own" during the ride!

It rained here last night. Just enough to make the dog bark though.

Norm why can't I drink??

I can get a copper pole for Chris' rain dance, we don't have brass at work.
Oh NO, it's brass or nothin'!!!!!

 Sounds like I'd better start drinking EARLY Saturday!
i am serving bloody mary's and screwdrivers Saturday morning [/quote]

We probably won't roll in there until around 10 - 10:30 or so. We stop and eat a big breakfast on the way! If I started on liquor THAT early in the morning, I wouldn't MAKE IT to the ride at night!

Well, I know it's gonna be a dry one, and dusty too. Hopefully we won't be down wind from all the racers again this time. I'd like to see it start raining right now and not stop until around 10:00 tomorrow morning (sorry bikers), that is what we need!!! Ya'll be sure to bring your goggles in case the trail is super dusty!
But Neal is right....with enough beer we will STILL have a good time!
