PSI in ITP 589's

Just out of curiosity. How much air has someone put in there 589's? I have 27's and have about 8 psi in them right now. The max it says to go to on the tire is 7 psi, which gets your about 26-1/4 in height. I want all 27''s and i think around 12psi is where i would see that at. What would happen if i rode on these tires with 15 psi in them. I see that people with Mudzilla's and laws put up into the 20's.

I ran 15psi in the 27" Titan 589s on my old POPO. They were like that for about 1200 miles before I sold it. Never had a tire problem (punctures or leaks). And they were cut up pretty good from riding at the Black Hole a lot.

What did the tire say the max PSI was on the Titan's?
i run from 14 to 24 in my mud bugs lol

I put 14 psi in them just now and it got me pretty close to 27''s. I bet these are gonna ride like concrete blocks for wheels now.
We put some outlaws on my buddies rancher, we took them to a local tire shop to mount them it took 30 psi to set the bead those things looked huge with that much in it. THey were hard as a rock though didn't even attempt them at that pressure, he likes the use of his back and that would have killed him.

Where are the pics of the ride w/ the new shoes?
I can't find that stupid cable that hooks the camera to the computer, I'll figure something out, they are green outlaws on a red bike, looks a little funny till it pushes it through all that mud, those things pull like crazy. I think that is going to be my next tire. Black though
Its a Christmas bike Red and Green. Just needs some sleigh bells.
don't forget the antlers on the front

I can't imagen riding with 15-20 psi in my 589's 8-10 is bad enough.
I normally run 5-7 psi , but I mainly trail ride and rock crawl .

Well i just put 14 in there so i guess i will find out how it rides tonight.
I run 12psi now. The ride isn't too bad. Our trails are almost always soft, so it doesn't reaaly matter either way. Until you get beat to death riding over the palmettoes.

Cant you stretch tires if you put a very high PSI in them and leave them like that over a period of time. That is one thing that i absolutely hate about my 589's, i should have got 28's so i could have actual 27's without feeling like they are filled with concrete from all the xtra added air pressure.
A little gasoline on the rubber and leave them out in the sun, tires will get real soft and will easily stretch. Becareful with gas though.

I will have to try that, thanks Raveer
The only advantage with to much psi is ground clearance!
