HE HAS BEEN PULL STARTING AND IT CRANKS ON THE FIRST PULL EVERYTIME AND RUNS GREAT REPLACED THE BATTERY EVERYTHING WORKS FINE BUT THE BATTERY IS KILLED AFTER ABOUT A DAY. WHAT CAN THIS BE THE; CHARGING MECHANISM? IF SO WHAT IS IT AND WHERE IS IT LOCATED

PS HONDA MECHANIC IF YOU SEE THIS A PICT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I think that the first thing that I would check is the fuse box, I don't know where it is located on these, but if that got soaked it could have shorted out. I am sure that Mechanic will have some good input.
Yes check the fuses they are under the seat in the battery compartment ... First disconnect the regulator/rectifier it could be that it is under the rear right fender besied the tire (it has fins on it)..Then replace any burnt fuses if it still does it it's possibly a pinched wire ..

Here's a diagram of where the parts are .. and a wiring diagram ..

You should print the wiring diagram off and tape the overlapped part together .. If this isn't large enought to print full size clear PM me and I will email you the same pics full size ..

WE HAVE ALL READY CHECKED THE FUSES I DIDN'T DISCONNECT THE REGULATOR/RECTIFIER THOUGH. THE FUSES WERE FINE AND WITH THE NEW BATTERY IT RAN LIKE NEW, FOR A FEW HOURS. I GUESS WE WILL CHECK THE WIRING NEXT. ONE THING I FORGOT TO MENTION IN THE CRASH SOMETHING HARD HIT THE DISPLAY AND DAMAGED IT EVEN WITH THE NEW BATTERY IT STAYED BLANK ONLY A BLACK DOT WHERE A ROCK OR SOMETHING HIT IT, MY FRIEND DOSEN'T CARE THAT IT DOSEN'T WORK, BUT DO YOU THINK THAT A SHORT SOMEWHERE IN THERE COULD BE THE PROBLEM.
Maybe the wiring harness is loose and it is not making contact.
I had that problem with my other atv. Got a new battery
& it was dead in one day. The problem for me was that
i hooked it up backerds. I had the wires crossed for some
strange reason. You may try that.

Same thing

I have a '99 foreman and If i ride with my light on at night after about an 2 hours my light go dim to no lights and my display go blank to nothing at all. Then it wont start. I have try new batterie, checked all connections, fuses pluggs, recterfier, everything that goes with electric. Help me also.
Foreman-submarine, it sounds like your battery isn't getting charged. Try this: Start your wheeler, then take a multi meter and check the battery volatge, it hould steadily increase to about 13.5 volts maybe a little higher, if it doesn't, you have problems with your charging sytem or there's something wrong with your grounding. Hope this helps.
