I have an 02 Foreman and i put an HMF Exhaust and the jet that they sent me on. i adjusted the air/fuel screw to where it runs pretty good, but my question is should i have changed both the pilot and main jet? should i have adjusted the e-clip? I've also got a K&N filter on it. i can feel a little more power but the way everyone talks it should have been a little more power than what i've got. any help is appreciated.

most don't mess with changing the pilot jet, but you can try moving the clip around on the needle and readjust the air/fuel mixture to help with fine tuning to see if it makes any difference.

Thanks. Now the other question is and you might think that i'm stupid but is the e-clip around the same place i changed the main jet? what i mean is do i get to it by going through the bottom of the carb? sorry for all the questions but i just don't want to take everything apart when i don't have to.
If your able to put a jet in the carb, you shouldn't have any problems with the needle adjustment. the only tools you will need are a few rags,a pair of needle noose pliers for the clip and a phillp screwdriver. Once you do it a few times, you wil figure out that the pliers are not needed.

remove your seat and look at the top of the carb. there are 4 phillip screws that hold the top cover on. remove those and the cover will come off. remove the spring and plastic slide. It would be a good idea to put a rag over the carb just incase something may drop into it. using a phillip screwdriver again, stick it in the center of the slide and make a 1/4 turn and it will unlock the clip. Righty tighty, lefty loosey. once the clip is out the needle will be visible. Be carefull there is a small washer under the needle. Here is a break down of the carb.
