Does anyone know of a site where I can get all of thr plastic grommets that hold the plastics together. Am I the only one that has a hard time with these things every time I want to work on my machine. I end up ripping the things to shreds.

i think everyone has a problem with them, the ones that connect the front fender to the front of the floorboards are the worst so i just bolted my together
I just replaced all of mine with stainless bolts. You can get the nylon rivets at Lowes, and I hav also seen them on ebay. You don't want to buy them at the dealership they will cost you a fortune.
i just leave mine out. i dont know if you ever thought of this but for all you that have bolts holding them together if you would catch your fender on something you will have a hole in your plastic.

I did think of that but I figured I would take my chances, I got real tired of fighting with those stupid things. I am pretty rough on mine and I haven't ripped anything yet.

My local NAPA store keeps some that are almost identical to the factory ones.
Carl picked some up at Lowe's I think, they have a larger head than the factory ones and tend to hold up better. Can't remember how much they cost, but I know it was cheaper than the honda ones!
The ones i got at Lowes hold up way better than the stock ones. They fit
a little snugger, so they don't tend to pop out like the stock ones do.

That is exactly the site that I was going to tell you.
as the atv gets alittle age on them, the holes start getting bigger from stress. u can apply a 1/4" or 10mm flat washer on the backside of the fenders and apply the clips and this will keep it snug. This way will still alow them to pull out if needed. The bolts will rip out the holes if they get snagged on something.
use the 1/4 inch washers it works the best and you can go to your local hardware store and get a pound for about $1.60 and it will do the whole bike.
Replacements are fairly cheap if you order them through some place like Planet Honda..........I just sold a bunch of them on Ebay not long ago.

As for their use, gently pry the center head out with a small flat tip screwdriver, and pull in out about 3/8 to 1/2 an inch. then the outer ring will come out easily as well. Reinstall by pressing the outer ring in first, all the way down while leaving the center extended, then press the center all the way in. I like them and seldom have problems with them at all.
Autozone carries them. The 5/16th size fits best.
