You are correct. Saves weight and will not fray and kink.
plasma rope?
im not sure what this is but i see a lot of people have them. im guessing that it may be some sort of replacement cable for winch, but this is just a guess. maybe some one can help me out.

It's a great upgrade for your winch. Plasma rope is lighter than wire rope. It actually floats. It's stronger than wire rope though. It resembles woven nylon rope than anything. The biggest benefit is that it won't snap back if it breaks like wire rope does. Big safety feature! Won't kink...just keep it clean and out of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. If you try it, you'll like it.
