it could possibly be the dog clutches snapping of the side of the gears.it has happened on other bikes in the past (1st year raptor).if that is the case and i'm sure you are not the only guy with the problem Honda hopefully will make good for a cure.if not I would ask for the old part back then see if the gear itself has the same Pn. as any previous year honda or if it matches up then see if you can use that part.even though you would prolly not want to do this unless you are dead set on owning that honda instead of a belt drive.if it was me i'd find a cure before i rode on a rubber band from another brand.(hey look i rhyme.....lol) I kill myself.crappy situation but just trying to give some calming input here.
