Well i installed the kit. Man those parts are really cheap. I hope it holds up. I would think they would make it a little stronger for the money. Has anyone had a problem with this kit. The longh travel kit?
Thanks

I have a 450S, and I just bought the Long Travel Kit, and I know what you mean about cheap feeling. I hope they stand up to the riding. They seem as though they would bend easily. BUT MAYBE NOT. I haven't installed my kit yet. I have to take the 450 in for service today....possible timing chain replacement. So when thats done I'll worry about installing the kit.

Let me know if anything funky happens with yours...BENDING OR WHATEVER.

ALSO...did it give much lift to your 500, and did you notice a better ride with the kit installed? Just wondering what to expect.

It will hold up to anything you can give it, mine did.

PERFEX

Well the Perfex kit gave me 3/4 of and inch in the front and 1 inch in the rear. I measured it before and after the kit was installed.
i've been puttin off buying that kit for a year now. i might just have to break down and get it, not a huge fan with the way it rides stock..
I put mine on last night. I am very pleased. My buddy has had one on his 05 for 2 years now and over 2000 miles and has never had a problem. He drives really hard to.
How hard is it to drill the rear to put the bolt through? Do you have to remove the whole rear axle assembly/links to drill it?

Just wondering. I'm not the most mechanically inclined, but I do alright.

Rear Bolt.

No, drilling the rear bolt was the easiest thing about it. I thought I would need an angle drill but didn't. Just a drill. So far I love the Perfex kit. Rides nice and give it a nice lift. I just still can't believe the quality of the kit. Seems real cheap. But anyways I also painted the hole wear I drilled so the hole would'nt start rusting with black rust stop paint.

Where you have to drill, it's hollow no chance of messing anything up.

Hollow

It's hollow. Goes right through
I have one on my 99 450s and love it. Took about 1hr roughly to install.
I noticed a big differance in the ride, way softer. You can ride longer without fatiuge. WELL worth the money. I've got about 1000kms of hard riding and some jumping with no problems. I thought it looked cheap too, so after a few rides I would check it good to make sure, very pleased with it so far.
where is the best place to buy one and how much Thanks

PERFEX

Buy it at Rocky Mountain ATV. They have the kit and they are awesome. It's for an 02-04 foreman but I think it will fit on ours. 05' 06' Foreman. I bought mine from HONDAPARTS WORLD for to much.
