painting the fenders

have you guys seen anyone paint their fenders or do you know of some stuff to bring out the shine again?

if your plastics have the scuffed up look i have heard that a propane torch will bring them out. i have never done it but if you do it make sure you move fast because you dont want to melt the plastic too much. if you could get the scraches out i bet it would look pretty good.
