We've changed dozens & dozens of the front final shaft seals .. If it is just wet around the seal it wouldn't hurt to drive it as long as you keep an eye on the oil level .. The seal isn't hard to change ,just unbolt the front differential and slide it forward ,then remove the front drive shaft ..

I HAVE AN OIL LEAK ON THE FRONT OF MY FOREMAN 500 AROUND THE SHAFT. HOW SERIOUS IS THIS?? DO I NEED TO ADDRESS IT NOW OR CAN IT WAIT TIL AFTER HUNTING SEASON?? AND IF I NEED TO DO IT NOW HOW MUCH TROUBLE IS IT GONNA BE???

I had mine warrantied about 20hrs into my machines life! Haven't had a problem since with about 140hrs on it now.
