Oil filter - not Honda brand

I have an 06 Foreman ES and need to change oil and filter. The dealer wants $9 for a Honda oil filter and I can get a filter made by Baldwin for the Foreman 500 for about half the price. Has anyone used a Baldwin filter on their Foreman or other non-Honda filters? If so, what has your experience been with them? Thanks.

its ONLY 9 DOLLARS! if you cant afford 9 dollars you need to sell your 4wheeler.
you are talkin about a differnce of $4.50
if the offbrand doesnt work correctly, you have a chance frying your eingine then you are talking about the price of an engine rebuild.
if you want to take that chane go ahead.
i would not recommend it.
the oil is the life of the motor
Seriously. If you are that cheap you are in the wrong hobby
I only pay about $6.00 for the Honda filter at my dealer, you should check around at different dealers.
i would stick with honda filters they are more relibal then others are. they uses a finer paper for there filters than other companys do. and its worth how much they charge you then buying a new oil pump or a new motor

Thanks for the feedback. I'll stick with the Honda filter.
