Can someone tell us what the difference (in size) between an OEM and a DJ.
For example. If you have a 130 DJ, What would a comparable OEM be? Is there a formula or rule of thumb?

sorry just going through old topics and i came across this. I ordered the 170 jet for my 06 foreman from hmf and i belive they use the kehein jets is this the right size for southwest louisiana?
is that the same jet the you get with a Dyno jet, All the 500's ive seen are running 170 DJ jets and they work perfect with the hmf and a filter.
im pretty sure that the kehien is different then the dyno. At least according to the chart it is
I may be missing something...Are you changing ONLY the main jet, or getting the whole kit.. ie..main jet, needle jet, and spring. I had a friend change only the main jet and they said that without the other needle jet and spring.. it would not tune. He needed all the pieces to get it to run properly.
Thats what im thinking im going to have to do but hmf said that all that it will need is the main jet. I wonder what railroader ended up doing? I think he had the whole kit but ended up just using an oem jet. Im sure he will pop in with some advice
using oem jets, u will have to use the stock needle. With DJ's you will have to use the DJ needle. They cannot be swapped around between the two, it will never run right.
so if i just put the kehien jet in with the rest stock besides the hmf i should be ok
Well, i have finally popped in . I tried the Dynojets on both of ours & none
of the jets worked. We both have snorkels, so that could've been a reason
why they didn't work well. All i did to ours was replace the main jet with a
oem 135 on our 450 Foremans & boy howdy, they both ran like a ape with
its butt on fire. I just moved the little clip on the stock needle all the way down
to the last groove & added a washer & it worked great. Adjust the air/fuel
screw to about 2.5 to 2 & 3/4 turns out. This is for a 450 Foreman.
thanks railroader thats what i needed to hear. I already installed the pipe and in the process of that i realized that my seal was just getting worse so i decided to go get it fixed. I should get it back wed. and then ill jet it. Thanks for all the help guys i really appreciate it
o one more thing where do you put the washer i haven't heard that before?Do you think ill need that?
