Well, I went into the shed today to pull out the Honda and it wouldn't start. I put it in neutral, kill switch off, and hit the button but absolutly nothing happens. I also tried putting it in gear and holding the brake but that didn't work either. The starter isn't even cranking. Mabey I'm just missing something here but I can't figure it out.
I drove it all weekend and even drove it yesterday to put it away. I tried using the pull-start but that thing is a bitch to pull, at least I couldn't do it.
YOU CAN TRY PUSH STARTING IT LIKE YOU WOULD IF YOU HAD A STANDARD TRUCK. CHECK YOUR BATTERY TERMINAL AND YOUR STARTER SOLENIOD. MAKE SURE YOU'VE GOT VOLTAGE THROUGH YOUR SOLENIOD. GOOD LUCK......
THE FUSES ARE LOCATED IN THE FRONT UNDER YOUR LIGHT POD DOWN BY THE STEERING SHAFT. YOUR STARTER IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE (IF YOUR SITTING ON THE BIKE) OF THE MOTOR BY YOUR LEG. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE GRAY PANEL OF AND IT'S BEHIND IT. THE WIRE FOR THE STARTER GOES IN AT THE TOP AND IS COVERED BY A BLACK RUBBER BOOT. ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR STARTING SOLENIOD IS GOOD, I'VE HEARD OF HAVING TO REPLACE THEM.
Fuel, Fire and Spark... Those are the big 3. From what you said I would guess it to be electrical... Did you do anything out of the ordinary the ride before putting it up?
Yeah. Nasty mud and I didn't wash it for a day. But it ran fine the day after I mudded it so this is kind of sudden. I have since washed it good under the panels and everything so I'll check when I get home about the starter.
I was supposed to bring it to Honda today for a Vin-Number issue with the warrenty but didn't have the means to get it there since my truck broke 2 days ago.
I honestly dont know. I went out to start working on it yesterday and for the **** of it I tried starting it and BAM! It fired right up like a Honda always does. I dont understand it but it works now and I've been running it everyday to make sure nothing is acting up on it.
I guess something got wet or something and took a while to dry even after I washed it. Weird because it never does that even in the deep water. O well, problem somewhat solved. Thanks again guys!
