I've been playing around with the idea of getting an ATV to primarily push snow (well at least that's what I'm telling my wife). Anyways, my wife's boss is selling a 2004 Foreman 450 for $5500 Canadian dollars. He just recently bought it thru ebay in the states and had it shipped up to Canada. It has 260 miles on it, can't remember how many hrs. He's very mechanically inclined (he built his own plane) and says it in great shape, mechanically and all. He also owns 2 other Foremans.
First of all, is this a decent price. It has no other options (ie winch etc). Also, if I decide to go for it, what kind of plow should I be looking at. Finally, to please the wife, I would like to get a rear seat attached so we can travel together occasionally. Any brands that are recommended? Just as an afterthought, do you guys all wear helmuts when you ride or not?
5500 Canadian is about = to 5500 US. Seems kinda high if it is bare bones but not completely outrageous....Last time I looked a '07 500 was about 8500 Canadian. a good winch is about 150 - 300 and a plow 700+ throw a back seat on for another 300+, and what about tires, I am guessing stock, so there is a bit more.(these are new prices, so you may get used cheaper). And yes a brain protector is a good idea....price varies to your preferences. If you look around you could prob get a different bike with the majority of the add-ons you want for less money than you would be spending for this one.
Hope that helps a bit.
