it sounds like you need to adjust your valves. its a simple process. toodeep has a link as a sticky on the how-to.

1st Quad and !st Honda. Have always road Harleys and needed a family machine.
I have a new 05 trx500fe. with about 200kms on it.
as i get over 80 km there is a sound like pinging or valve noise.
not just the normal ticking they all have.
i have only tried this once. must of the time spent riding with daughter
valves have not been adjusted
