I just finished typing a long explanation of the trouble I am having with our 2003 Honda Rubicon 500 FA. I tried to post it but didn't have any success. It is probably because I am fairly old and moderately computer illiterate. In any case, my husband who has had over twenty years experience as a motorcycle mechanic is convinced that our hondamatic transmission is shot and that rebuilding it is out of the question. I have read one of the threads about resetting codes and wonder if perhaps it is not a mechanical problem but a system problem. The bike has been hanging on my wall for over five years now. We can not really afford a new OEM transmission. This forum seems like an amazing source of information and I am hoping to inspire my husband to seek assistance here.
