MINE IS 2005 AND HAVE ADJUSTED VALVES 2 TIMES ABOUT TIME TO DO AGAIN HONDAS ARE KNOWN FOR NOISE BUT YOU CAN TELL WHEN VALVES NEED TO BE ADJUSTED VERY SIMPLE AND IT WILL IMPROVE PERFORMANCE AND THE EASE OF STARTING GOOD LUCK

1st Quad and !st Honda. Have always rode Harleys and needed a family machine.
I have a new 05 trx500fe. with about 200kms on it.
as i get over 80 km there is a sound like pinging or valve noise.
not just the normal ticking they all have.
i have only tried this once. most of my time is spent riding around with my daughter
valves have not been adjusted
