We have had a good bit of rain here lately and even during the summer there was plenty of mud just really thick.

you guys are crazy going with no helmets. i wiped out on a 1985 250 suzuki in second gear and ripped my face to shreds. 50 stiches in my forehead, broken nose, and sewed back together upper lip. Plus a dislocated thumb and second degree roadrash on my shoulder. Don't mean to preach , but good luck to ya.
