Ok I replaced a engine of my 1997honda foreman 400. Got it running so I took off i was riding for hour or so, all sudden rear end I thought locked up which was but too rear end apart and it all was fine. Could it be in my transmission. Or do you got to set the gears again after replacing a engine.

Was the motor making any noise, was the drive shaft hooked up right , can you turn the rear wheels and make the drive shaft spin if all is good work towards motor ,I would if you have not put rear end back on pull drive shaft off motor and try to start motor , if it starts go through gears to make sure it shifts ,the trans could have a bad gear
