I'm in the middle of installing jet kit, hmf and snorkel. I was told to run the 130 jet but after reading what some of you went with on here I'm not sure what to run and what notch to set the clip at. The snorkel is 1.5 like dirty4mans. I'm just trying to find out now while everything is apart cause I dont feel like pulling it out again. Plus did anybody have any problems with their hmf not wanting to go all the way on. Any info will help. Thanks

The HMFs can take a little convincing to get seated. I beleive the instructions said out the needle on the 4th notch. I would start there. But you may have to move it up or down after you try it. But atleast its on top and can be adjusted in a couple moments. Be careful w/ those four screw on top they are soft and strip easily.
Well I got it all done and she purrs like a kitten. I ended up going with the 134 jet and set the clip on the 5th notch turning the fuel mix screw out about 3 turns and it seems to run fine, just gonna keep an eye on the sparkplug.
Just a quick question, the fuel mixture screw turned out richens it right or is it going in that richens it. The only reason I ask is I was just on hmf's website and there saying buy srewing it in it richens but I don't think thats right.
I think i will have to go to the 134 jet when my HMF gets here. I went
on ahead & jetted it last weekend just so i could ride with my snorkel
on. I used the 130 & it did o.k. It still needs some fine tuning, but it got
me through the day. My HMF should be here Thursday, so i will tackle
it again Saturday morning when i get home from work. From the sound
of it, it sounds like the pipe is gonna take some hollerin & cussin' to get
it on. I hope not.
you will be alright. Spray some WD-40 on there and keep wiggling back and forth until it slides off. Piece of cake!

Put the pipe on and see how it runs with the 130 jet in it first. You may not need to jet it again. The hardest part of putting the pipe on is getting the old one off. Lots of wiggling, tugging, pulling and 4 letter words and it will come off. My new one went on real easy. If the HMF doesnt slide on easily take some sandpaper or emery cloth and lightly clean the part still on the motor so there is not rust etc. and that should make life alot easier.
I'm lookin' forward to it. Sounds like my Saturday is gonna be
half used up just from puttin' the pipe on.

No just about an hour or so unless you get lucky and it comes apart easy and goes together just as easy. It is a walk in the park compared to doing the jets and snork (which were easy too)
