im upgrading my tires i have 26in 589s right now but iv narrowed my choices down to 28in 589, 27in mudzillas ,and 27in bi/tri claws i leaning towards the 589 because they have a smooth ride and are great in the mud but im still not sure i need some help

claws. on the trails they are one of the smoothest tires. They rock in the mud. they are a very good tire and they hardly wear.

ya i really like the claws but there pretty heavy and im not sure if they'd float that good.would they?
I'd probably stick with the 589's, just because of them being lighter.
589's don't measure true and don't even compare to the Claws. Claws will easily out mud the 589's; 589's tend to dig. 589's are a good tire but the Claws have been a better performer for me. Just my opinion
I think that they float very well. Ive had mine for about a year and there is only one time i can remember that i have not been able to turn them and that was at marango in 06. My bike is bone stock performance wise. They maybe a little heavier but mine measure 27.5 with 4psi. Also the 589 dont have a side lug at all.
Dude,WHO CARES ABOUT THE 589's NOT MEASURING TO TRUE SIZE!!!!!!!So what if it don't mesure,ya'll b!tch about that every time the numbers 5,8,9 are in the same sentence. That's so dumb!!!!!!!!!!

Mudzilla's are better than all the other choices.

the reason we bicker over the fact that they measure short is because of GROUND CLEARANCE. they are a nice tire.

mudzillas get my vote.
350hondaman is right, when your a mudder every little 1/2" or 1" makes a difference. the claws to good on trails and good in the mud. they would be my first choise then the zillas would come second.

wel i found this mud tire evaluation ( http://www.atvonlinemagazine.com/atv_ti ... otout.html ) and if u click on the 589s it says they measure exactly 28in
and did you read all of the ratings??? in the order of the 3 u want, they are rated mud machines over the mudzillas over the 589s. the only other reason i say Mud machines over mudzillas is from personal experinse. My brother and i have the same mud riding skills. he has a Vinson with 28" zillas and i have the Mud Machines on the foreman 450. i kept up with him for the entire weekend we were riding. and more times than not, when he got stuck i made it through right after i pulled him out. The only reason you dont hear about the mud machines so much is because the company that makes them arent big names like ITP or Maxxis. BIGB01- not everyone complains about the 589s. it was one of the tires i was considering. I chose it because 1) they measure true size [which is important for mudders]. 2) they have a bigger lug 3) side wall lug
depending on the type of terrain and what of riding you do will depend on the choice. I have run all three tires and here's my opinion.

mud riding
zilla's, they clean out well, pull great, weight is not an issue for most atv's
claws, pull good but tend to gum up faster, smooth riding.
589, IMO are more of an all around tire, nothing bad to say about them.

trail riding
589, smooth riding with good traction, climb well
claws, also a smooth riding tire, dont climb so well on hard ground.
zilla's, to heavy and rough for pure trail riding
DUDE...........BIGB01 I think everyone cares if a tire runs small. If I pay for 27" tires that's what I better get. Pull your head out DUDE, size definetely matters.............DUDE
So,that won't matter if you have a centemeter more of ground clearance. If you want ground clearance, get you an IRS bike.Foreman's and Rancher's aren't really the Kings of ground clearance.

AND WHO SAYS DUDE????Do you even know what that means????

And now you are looking through a Dictionary................
