well i found out what the deal was, i called hotcams back 3 times and finnaly got someone on the phone and they told me that the timing marks on the camshaft sprocket was stamped wrong so i haft to tear it all the way back down to reset the timing. well i just figured i would let yall know what i found out incase someone was having the same problems.
That is pretty crappy the least the company could have done is wrote up a note telling you that and put it with the cam
I HAVE ONE OF THESE IN MY 2004,AND HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE SHOP SEVERAL TIME TO HAVE THE VALVES ADJUSTED,BUT IT STILLS MAKES SOME TICKING. DID YOU NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE IN YOU POWER AFTER YOU HAD IT DONE,AND HOW FAR OFF IS THE TIME.

the timing was 1 or 2 teeth off and yes the power increase is incredible in low gear. the owner says he cant believe the bottom end power. the noise was coming from the valves hitting the piston. they were not hitting much and it did not bend them but put 2 small marks on the piston. the new instructions are on Hotcams site. the part on how to time it is on the new instructions.
Gosh I was going to install a Hotcam in my rubicon, but glad I went with a webcam instead after hearing about that. They were both really close in the specs, just a few degrese diference.

How do you like the Web ? I run Webs in my other toys and was leaning towards the Web over the HotCam for my Rubicon.
