I used an Aerospace plastic scratch cleaner and although it is better, some of the scratches are pretty bad. Thanks for the suggestion.You can clean like new using a kit for polishing head lights on cars.
The 3M kit I used started with sand paper that can take as much lens material off as needed as long as cracks not through lenses.
I had the same issue on mine, the cracks were pretty bad. Since a new one was still available from Honda, it was worth the $75 in my mind. Pretty cool - not a lot of companies would still stock a part like that for a 20 year old quad.
