I live near Alexandria , and we have 3 government land trails within a hour of here. The sandstone trail. Livingston, and claiborne. All are part of kisatchie national forest.

Live in Madisonville

Haven't done much trail riding, mostly used for hunting. Friend has a camp at a riding club in McCall Creek MS that I rode last summer. Pretty nice, sand bars along the Homochitto R and some pretty nice trails through the woods. Just got a Rincon so I'll be ready this year!

Took a trip out to Jolly Rogers ( Cow bayou ) on Toledo bend last weekend. It was after a good rain so there was plenty of mud. Hadn't been out there in over a year but trail were in ok condition and only had to hop over one deadfall and around one other. Much better than I expected. Not the biggest place in there is to ride but its free. Just be sure the cooler is full.
