Looping vent line in cold weather

Just a little precaution to anyone living in an area with freezing temps.

I had my engine vent line wrapped around my carb just encase I got water in the air box it would not be able to get into the engine. However I got about a thimble full of water in the vent line and it froze solid in the little pvc elbow. This didn't allow the engine to vent and after hearing a loud POP! I found oil spraying out of the gear shift lever. So now it is back at the dealer and I hoping that they will cover it under warranty.

Just something I never thought about and could easily happen to anyone.
