Locker Questions

Hello, I'm new to the forum and have a few questions. I have an '07 Foreman 500 S and I do a fair amount of riding in Moab Utah. There are a lot instances where I really need both front wheels pulling as there are times when one of the front wheels is off the ground.

My questions are:
1. If I install a Detroit Geerless locker, how much more difficult is it to steer when out of 4 wheel drive?
2. If I install the DGL and don't like, can I take it back out?
3. Is the DGL the best option?
4. How much of a difference does this make in difficult situations?
5. Will this wear anything else out prematurely?

1.No difference when out of 4x4.
2.i think you can but most people that have it like it and wouldnt trade if for nothin
3.IMO yes it would be you best option becasue you get locked when going in a straight line you. when turning you get a limited slip. in 4x2 you have an open diff. defentally not the cheapest though.
4.never had one but i sure the CVs will wear out faster.
Everything above is right except for the cv wearing out faster. I have had a DGL in my Kodiak and my Rubicon. Never wore anything out faster in either one of these machines.

If you have the money, it is an awesome mod. You will be thankful for the Locker everytime you put it in four wheel drive. If you put it in and decide that you don't like it, I will buy it from you (at a used price of course ).

Go for it, you'll love it.
Thanks for the information. When you mention the price, how expensive is it? The DGL I was looking at was under $500. Is this correct?
http://www.atvoutfitters.net sells them for alike $350
DGL is the best mod you can do to your bike At HL you can get the locker for $350
Thanks for the information. Looks like I'll be getting me a DGL.

It's cheaper than $350 at ATV Outfitters! Just call Matthew he will undoubtedly give you the best price!
Just buy it straight from HL, they are excellent to deal with......
