leaking gas

I am fairly new to the site and have a 2005 Foreman 500 with 20 hours on it. Went out to ride this weekend turned the gas on, did not start it and went inside for 15 minutes. When I came out there was gas on the floor, it was dripping from the overflow. It started up and it kept dripping for 3 minutes while running. It took longer to warm up than normal and after it was warmed up it was sluggish for the first 20 minutes of the ride. It ran great the rest of the day and did not leak anymore.
Has anyone else had this happen and what was the problem?
Thanks

the float was proubly stuck. you might want to take the carb apart and check for your self.
also check the screw that is turned to drain the carb. make sure that is tight. but yea take the carb apart and make sure everything is put back proper.
I agree to check that screw first, if its still under warranty take it to the dealer. I wouldn't take the carb apart myself, if the warranty would cover it.
