I've made a mud pit at my parents house and I have noticed that when the front tires are spinning I sometimes hear a knocking noise. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced the same? Any suggestions?
Is there a lift kit on yours, it could be the cv's making a little noise, I wouldn't think that it would be in the diff. because if something was broke in there enough to make noise then it probably wouldn't operate.
No lift. I hate to have to take it to the dealership. I'm afraid that they're going to give me some bullshlt about abusing it. Its only 2 months old with 300 miles 42 some hours.
If you are going to take it in then put the stock tires on it, and clean it up real good, then just tell them what your problem is, they shouldn't give you too much crap. Good luck.
It's already been in once w/the 27's. I'm not sure if they make any note of stuff like that or not. I wouldn't think it would matter to much being that they offer wheels and tires to you when you buy a new one.
Don't worry about the miles i have a 04 with 2000 miles just put your stock tires on wash it really good and tell the you use your 4-wheeler just to ride in a field behind your house or something thats what it did
I'm not going to take it back anytime soon. When cleaning it today I found lots of small rocks. I hope it was just rocks getting thrown around. I haven't heard the knocking noise in other mud holes.
I would guess that it is the front diff switching back and forth, mine used to do it all the time in the snow. And it definately makes a nocking noise.
