Can you just pry it out with a flathead screwdriver? I had to get the key code off of mine and did this to get it out to be read. Good luck.
Key Switch
HOw do you get the key switch out of the pod to put a new plastic piece on?

turn the cover over and on the key switch squeeze the two tabs and it will slid out. You will also have to unplug the key switch from the wiring harness to get it out.
