[/i][/b]HEY GUYS I HAVE A 2002 450 ES 0NLY HAS 20 MILES . I PUT 26 MUDLIGHTS,K&N FILTER DYNOJET KIT AND HMF PIPE . WENT BY THE DYNAJET INSTRUCTIONS . I NEVER GOT TO RIDE THE 4 WHEELER WIDE OPEN BEFORE JETTING AND OTHER STUFF . IT WILL ONLY SHOW 45 TO 48 MPH ON SPEEDO NOW, I GOT A BUDDY WITH A IDENTICAL FOREMAN EXCEPT HE HAS 27'S AND HE CAN REGISTER 54 MPH AND PULL AWAY FROM ME. DO THINK I AM JETTED TO RICH ? IT TAKES THE GAS GOOD AND SMOOTH NO BOGGS AND STARTS GOOD ALMOST NEVER HAVE TO USE THE CHOKE.
THANKS FOR ANY TUNING INFO I COULD USE IT TO REDEEM MYSELF AGAINST MY BUDDY

Well why dont we start with the basics... What size jet did you use, where did you put the clip on the needle and how many turns on the A/F screw?Tell us those and well be able to help alittle better.
SETTINGS

I PUT THE CLIP ON #4 GROOVE ANDUSED THE DJ126 JET AND SET THE MIXTURE SCREW AT 2 1/2 TURNS OUT. AND I LIVE IN ALABAMA LOW ELEVATION
Try a DJ 130 in there and see how it does. If not to good I would go back to an OEM 135 main jet with an OEM needle. Thats what most people around the forums run and have great results. Also you may want to try another 1/4 turn on the A/F screw so it is 2.75 turns out. With a K&N and an HMF you are starving for fuel with a 126 jet. With the 130 you should see a great improvement.
THANKS MAN I WILL TRY THAT AND LET YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES.
hi i have a 2001 honda foreman 450 s and have just added the following mods warn 424, high lifter springs , high lifter lift kit , k&n air filter and hmf utility exaust .. my question is i have just put the k&n air filter on and the hmf utility exaust . it came with one screw which i take is the jet . i have not even tried to put the jet in because iam looking for directions on the install ... i fired the bike up and it runs and idles fine ... i have not run it wide open on a straight away yet but before i put the k&n and hmf on i topped out at 48 mph .. thats fast cosidering im a big guy .. so how much more power will the jet give me and what are all the downside to it ? i rode it in the woods some and it acted like a beast with a nice difference in torque .. wonder what the jet would do ... i live in martinsville virginia so maybe that will help with my question on jetting !!! thanks hope to hear from someone soon !!!!!
when I had a 450, I had a 142 jet in it, worked for me.
