IMHO if you want Power but not a loud exhaust there is only 1 choice... HMF Swamp Series!
really? cause a lot of people are tellin me to get the Supertrapp Mudslinger but like i said im just not sure....i dont wanna pay 300 bucks for somethin and it turn out to be real loud..all my buddies have HMF utility series and they are wayyyy too loud
I guess it depends on your definition of loud. Some people think the mudlsinger is too loud.

I can say for sure the Swamp is not. My Foreman sounds a little deeper before but no louder than stock. To me it sounds like a 700cc stock mufflered ATV.
I just got a swamp series last week . I cost me 339.00 at my local honda shop and that thing sound good it is about like stock exhaust but deeper. I am a deer hunter so I can not have a loud exhaust you can't beat it
I am looking at the swamp series. With no other upgrades will i notice any extra power?
928GT,

I looked over at Highlifter for the HMF Swamp Series, but at $399.00 it's a little hard to swallow. I can appreciate the technology used and not needing to rebuild, but is it really worth it if I'm not playing submarine?

I've been looking at the Performance Kit over at ATV Outfitters and for $350.00 I can get a HMF QS1 Eco System, K&N Filter, and a jet kit. I DO want to add a little "sound", maybe something like a Maico 501 off the line at Legonier?

Most comments I have seen about the QS1 is that it is still pretty loud, again definition of loud varies person to person.

The fact that the packing inside the QS! will wear out means it will get louder and louder as time goes on. The Swamp should stay the same for the life of your ATV AND the Swamp will make a lot more power than the QS1

You can get the Swamp Series from Leesons Motors on Ebay or their website www.leesonsmotors.com for $379 with free shipping. They also run occasional specials on Ebay for $362 and free shipping.

If you want to save money (don't we all) here is what you can do and be close to the $350 deal you mentioned and have a better overall system.

Swamp series $379.
Main Jet is included free with Swamp Series
UNI Filter (better than K&N IMHO) $20 or less.
Cut your slide spring in half - Free (basically same effect as the spring in the DJ Kit)

So for $399 you can get the Swamp and rejet/tune your carb AND have a better sound (that stays that way) AND actually make MORE POWER than the $350 kit you mention.

I have the Mudslinger, and sorry Eric- it is kind of loud. It is more pronounced at wot. At an idle it is not much louder than stock but as soon as you give it any gas the noise comes right up. It does help the performance.
