It would run rich w/o a pipe and the DJ170. You might try the 165 to bump the fuel up a bit.
Jet Carb, K&N, and NO HMF work?
I was wondering if I could rejet my carb to 170, add a K&N air filter but no add the HMF muffler? Do I have to put on a muffler if I rejet and refilter?

The DynoJet kit says to use a different jet if you keep the stock pipe, I just dont remember wich one it says to use???
