jacking up atv

I know this might sound like a stupid question, but where do you put a jack to lift up the front end of your ATV? I tried searching for it but all I came up with was people just saying to do it, but how. I need to take one of my front wheels off to patch a hole. I don't have a fancy ATV lift just a bottle jack. I think a pic might help me.

Oh, and when you tighten up the lug nuts how do you usually gauge how tight to go? I don't have a torque wrench and don't want to break them.

Thanks in advance.

I jack mine up under the front bash plate where it comes down and becomes flat. I just put a small 2x4 or piece of wood on top of the jack and it sits across the plate.
i use a regular floor jack and i put it on the skid plate the front is not heavy enough to do any damage, put a piece of wood between the jack and plate to even out the load when using a bottle jack. the lugs i use a torque wrench, i found one for $15 at harbor freight, try northern tools also. torque wrenches are handy tools to have.
