All I did was remove the hook from the cable. Then remove the fairlead from the bike. Then install the skid plate and push the cable through the hole in the plate. Now reinstall the fairlead with the cable through it and reinstall the hook.

I have a hawse fairlead and was wondering if i have to take off winch in order to install a ap skid plate? Any input would be great! thanks
