I just found this place over the past week, very informative. I have read a lot of posts on here saying that the perfex lift kit for my trx 450S is the best and that hondapartsworld.com has the best price. Seems that most of you prefer that kit over highlifters. How much clearance did you gain after installing the perfex kit? Also i looking to run like dirt devil xt in 26" tires, will my foreman struggle with these tires or should i stick with 25" dirt devils? I just dont want to loose a lot of power and have to replace bearings all the time, thanks for looking and any input at all about lifting and new tires would greatly be appreciated

I ride in everything mostly trails and mud and water wherever i can find it, some maybe this will help in any info you can give

Perfex lift is said to give about 1.5 inches of clearance. It is a little more expensive but Im ordering one just because guys claim that it gives a softer ride. You wont have problems turning 26' tires. If you look around here I have just about the smallest tires at 27'. If I were you I would find something a little more aggressive. I was really impressed with the difference that tires make. just with aftermarket tires I am able to go many more places than my friend with his diff locked artic cat on stock tires. I run a mud tire but I travel all sorts of terrain and I still get smooth ride.
I have 26s and they did bog in dry/peanut butter mud before my mods. But in the water or soupy mud i had no real problems with power loss. I just had to use 1st a lot more than I do now. But you shouldn't hav eto worry if your going with DirtDevils though.
I was also looking at other lift products, can you run the perfex kit, highlifters lift springs, and traler hitch lift all togther and if any one has this combo of all three how much clearence did you gain?, and will the two kits work good togetherCould i run a 27" tire or would i need some power upgrades after adding all these, just looking to become more educated on 4x4 atv lifts and trying not to over do it, thanks so much
Lift springs only minimize sagging, they will not lift the bike. You can run them all together. The hitch lift onlt raises where you would mount a trailer ball. Thats it. Not the bike itself.

Remember The low point on a SRA bike is always going to be the rear diff. The only way to raise that is bigger tires. Its like putting a body lift on the truck.
so you are saying get the perfex kit and 26" tires and that will suffice, how much ground clearance would you gain?, and what would be the best all around 26" tires?, just dont wanna have to replace things monthly, i just dont have much clearence as we speak at like 7.5" and would like to get to around 10.0" or so, on highlifter.com that performance kit they sell, would i be able to tell a diffrence turning 26's or 27's ? Im looking to get all this done over the winter so for spring ill be ready for all the mud i can handle
I have the 26x9x12 Mudlites, High Lifter Lift Springs and i plan on putting the Perfex on it to finish it off. I have not noticed a difference in power and I like the way it feels when i'm riding it, though it's just a bit of a rough ride, thats why i'm going with the Perfex kit. They say it gives about an 1.5" lift and a softer ride. You will have no problem turning those 25" Dirt Devils since that is basically stock size on the Foreman.

Tough to say. depends on the "actual" tire highth. But remember, you only gain 1/2" of lift per every inch of tire. W/ the Perfex and "actual 26s I would say you would get a solid 2" of lift at the floorboards and 1/2" at the rear diff.
what is a good all aroud tire to run with the perfex fit? i want to stay at 26" tires or less i just dont heavily mud and need a good trail riding tire, i have heard that dirt devils are the best value, any other suggestions on tires, so with the lift and the tires i will not tell much of a difference as far as bottoming out in deep ruts and traction, i new to all this and want as much clearence as i can get, helpful advice keep it coming
MudLites are an excellent all around tire. They by no means are one of
the best mud tires, but they are MUCH better than stock tires.
Lites XT, Dirt Devils XT, Bugs, Gators are all good multipurpose tires.
ITP Blackwater XT's are pretty good multi-use tires.
tires

I am very happy with my 27" dirt devil tires, tread wise, just the size isnt what i wanted.. with a maximum amount of air the rear ones are 26 1/4 inches tall. The fronts are 27"..but they are both rock hard...
If I had it to do over again, I would get the 28's and run less air so they are 27" or so..
Even though, the tires perform really well in the mud, and med pack..
but skate around in the sand... probly cause of the near solid tires.
I love my 27" Dirt Devils. No obvious power loss. Good in mud. Smooth riding. I have no power mods yet and they do fine. My friend has a 450ES with 25" Goodyears. No difference in power.
I do have the Perfex kit and H. L. springs in front.

your foreman will turn the dirt devils almost as easy as stok, I recommend mudlites before devils though

lift springs do lift the bike if your stok springs are tired out and if not they still add a little lift-about 3/4 inch or so
more than that actually I think
i think im going to run some 27" bi/tri claws, i have so many good things about this tire combo, so i have my perfex kit on order and bought HL's lift springs from Railroader the other day, my foreman is in the shop for warranty work, motor is blown with only 600 miles, but i still have faith this was just a lemon and that Honda builds a better product that, and they stood up and paid for it under warranty, bike was all stock for all 600 ,miles on it, but when it rolls back out of the shop i will have a lift, tires, a filter and hmf pipe. Still looking for a winch.
