i have that popping noise in the front...sounds like it's the clutch when i am in first...

but my cv on the right side is shot too...so it may be both....

but isthere a way i cn check the clutch to see if that may be part of it?

Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting screw one full turn clockwise.
Slowly turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise until resistance is felt, then turn the adjusting screw 1/4 turn clockwise. Hold the adjusting screw and tighten the lock nut.
i should stand it up on the racks to do that right?

do i have to remove the skid? well, remove the part that is left on there??
no it's easy to adjust the clutch with the bike sitting on the wheels ..
oh okay i have to look around then b/c i am not sure where you are talking about...haven't had much time to get under there and see what's going on...

thanks
if u take the oil filter cover off and the dip stick cover off u can see it from either side if i remember right. i think its the right side were its at tho.
