HOW MUCH OIL?

1663 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  sscjwl
OK, I LOST MY NEW OWNERS MANUAL. I JUST NOW REACHED 106 MILES ON MY NEW 06 FOREMAN 500 S. OIL LIGHT CAME ON SO, I THOUGHT I WOULD CHANGE THE OIL., I PUT ABOUT 2.5 QUARTS IN IT WITH A NEW FILTER. BUT, MY QUESTION IS, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE ACTUALLY OWNERS MANUAL READS FOR THE PROPER AMOUNT OF OIL?

THKANS,

did you loose your dipstick? read the dipstick to see if you have enough oil in the motor instead of going by the quantity listed in the manual. what they print in the manual is an approximate amount of what you'll need but can vary on how much oil you actually drained out. when checking w/ the dipstick, don't screw it in, just set it on the threads to get your reading.

The amount you have put in is right, mine is the same , but double check your dipstick, sometime it varies!!
