My atv has only 200 miles on it and I have noticed that the black fenders scratch easy. I also notice the floorboards will wear when my heal and toe rests. They will shine right up with tire foam or Honda Cleaner but after a day of riding, they dull out.
mine has about 250 miles on it and I keep it up really well but like you said the black plastic is all scratched up. The only thing you can do is keep applying the tire foam to it. Personally I buy wd 40 by the cases and thats what i use after every ride on the whole bike except the yellow and it keeps it up pretty well.
its still gonna get scratched... i dont worry bout scatches and things like that. i bought my 4wheeler to ride and have fun..... bunch of ppl i ride with have a saying " u gotta pay to play" so if i ever want new plastics there on ebay for 150 in any color. so i wouldnt worry bout scatches

I have heard people will spray WD-40, RemOil, or babyoil under the fender wells so mud/dirt will slide off. Anybody do this?
I know my plastic is gonna scratch up. I am glad I chose the yellow. Really, the black is the only plastic that is scratched up. And I am happy I didn't go with a black Rincon like my uncle. Two trips and that atv looked like it was 5 years old. Amazing.
if your really having fun in the mud where you and your bike are covered in mud then not much of any thing helps. But i do still spray my bike down with tire shine and wd40. makes me fill better
The black on my Foreman scratches a lot less than the red.Mine is an '06 with 300 miles and the red is all dull.Especially on the side of the tank where my legs rub the plastic.I'm so careful when I wash it and I even wax it.I took the racks off so I could wax it really good and that didn't help .
i had the same problem with the black scratching on my foreman..but luckily i had some help by way of a farmers electric fence wire he left in the woods..i tore up most of my blsck plastic on the right side..i ordered all new stuff..it is really cheap and easy to replace..
