Might be looking for a new ride, how does the 500ES stack up to the Cat 500i? Ride doesn't matter at all to me. Ride through mud, sometimes deeper water than I should and pull a tandem axle enclosed trailer full of decoys in very rough conditions. Will put 27" Claws on, how about reverse in sticky stuff? I just don't know anything about machine, looking for honest opinions. Thanks

I will be honest. The Cat will more than likely out mud a 500 foreman and it has more power than the 500 foreman, but the cats don't hold up as well to the abuse like a honda will. You will get to know the people at gorrila real well if you put on big mud tires. The cat will NOT pull a trailer as good as the foreman, because of the Cats IRS. the SRA on a honda will drag about anything you want to. Also for deep water, I haven't seen a better bike than a honda. I treat mine like a submarine on a regular basis. Get a foreman throw on some 27's and it will go anywhere you want it to go.

raveer is right! my friend used to have a 05 AC 500 and it was a peace of crap! everything fell apart on it. the lights fell out 50 times a month, the little storge box came apart, bushings went bad every time you rode it and thats not even close to what all happened to it. now if it is going to be a pure mud bike then i would get it but if its going to be a trail/mud bike i would stay far far away from it!

well honda should give me a lower gear option. Heck even if all I get is low gear. foreman that tops out at 40mph, would probably give me the gears I want.

The Foreman doesn't top out at 40 mph. It tops out at 58 mph.

i think he means that if it only did 40moh and had lower gears it would be worth it.
